The basic role of a system analyst is to develop a management information system . He analyzes , designs and implements information system around the project objectives so that proper procedures are developed for timely & effective completion of project and also to ensure that project objectives are met. The basic interest of a system analyst is to gain knowledge from the new project . |
He makes sure all the activities are as per requirement of the objectives of the project and first he makes the project feasible on paper. Then through management information system he ensures all relevant activities are done on time . |
Business Analyst | Basic role of business analyst is to capture the requirements absolutely correctly from the business community or stake holders and then to ensure that same is understood correctly by project technical team . | They make sure that business objective is achieved after the project is implemented or completed as per the requirements of the business community or stake holders . |
Project Manager | They plan all the key bench mark activities required for the completion of the project and also plan the resources in terms of man , material & machines for completion of those activities . They develop the cost and time estimates for the completion of all the bench mark activities & monitors the progress of the projects as per them . They guide and motivate the project team regularly & consistently through thick and thin so that the project is completed as per customer's requirement | They actually make the project happen on the ground well within the budgetary estimates of time and money . |
Project Champion | He is the guy who engages all the stake holders into the project . He identifies the strategic objectives of the project , critically examines them and then makes sure requirements are made out of these and project is designed around these . He keeps a tab on the project deadlines , deliverables and objectives & removes all obstacles whenever and where ever available. He prioritizes all activities and keeps every stake holder updated on the state of the project. | He is the life line of the project who guides the project right from the inception till and through the completion phase towards its successful completion. |
End User | These are all the stake holders and ultimate users of the project outcomes or deliverables .Their role is to make sure that all outcomes or project deliverables are as per the specifications required by them . From time to time they provide their inputs to make sure that the project is headed in the right direction and towards right outcomes. | They basically gives either a thumps up or down to the outcomes of the project so basically they decide whether project has been completed successfully or not . Organizational Management | They are basically the higher management who organizes and manages the project from the top and from sidelines. Their job is select the best team for the project and to furnish them with all the resources as and when are required by the team. They make sure team building is good and team has all important ingredients like leader , contributor & members .
