Building Information Modeling it is a collaborative process that allows the various stakeholders , architecture , engineer , constructor experts to come together on the designing , planning and construction of a 3D based model . These models are designed on software like AutoCAD which presents a blueprint on the working of these models under certain type of loading , bending and stress conditions . The key point of using these software are to visualize various aspects of a building and also the dimensions which in 2D is not very easy , autoCAD works on 3D which provides much more illustrations . In a BIM all the data get stored at one place an that stored data can be modified easily and testing of the changes should be done on these software which makes the construction more easy , durable and reliable as well . Because of the information that is being stored on the software itself . Their are various levels in BIM which are listed below :

1. Level 0 BIM
2. Level 1 BIM
3. Level 2 BIM
4. Level 3 BIM

All these levels are dependent on how much information are being shared , which the construction going forward their is a very big scope of 4D , 5D and 6D modelling as well . So that it would be more easier to understand the working .

BENEFITS FROM BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING :

1. It enhances the power of visualization , which in turn helps in prototyping of design and construction stages of a healthcare building . With the power of visualization we can resolve many conflicts that are occurring within a bunch of staff in a hospital regarding room layout , working space , ventilation etc.
2. With the help of this we can save time for construction , and with the time saved in construction that does not mean their would be any loss quality material used or anything of that sort . It provides excellent output without the use of any hand made drawings , you can access any number of files anywhere on your phones , tablets , laptop which makes it easy for the engineers as well .

With the use of BIM you can save your time and money as well , with so much of knowledge nowadays , each and every healthcare facility is aware of the BIM , so they prefer the use of their models with fast and effective results , which in the longer run saves the time and money invested in construction , rather than upgrading that building again and again every year , it should be made with respect to future need as well , which would save a lot of money .

A real example of the hospital named Queen Silvia Children`s Hospital is using BIM and it has 1,300 rooms, of which only 200 are standard, enabling us to keep track of 450 different systems including lighting, x-ray equipment, electricity and ventilation, and of the complex logistics of the project which are all designed and implemented with the help of BIM .
5. BIM also plays are vital role in planning of spaces such as operating theatres , which should have power outlets , space heating and cooling system with air filtering system .
6. With BIM it shows the amount of risk reduced because of its feature of detecting clashes and identifying risks , therefore it shows mind blowing effects construction process making it highly efficient and streamlined .
7. It works on Augmented reality which makes its look real and acceptable to the real world , so it gains trust and confidence in the humans which makes the patient thinks that this hospital has each and every facility that he wants , that how its satisfies individuals in the bigger picture .
8. All these BIM receives ratings from LEED and various other rating system as that it should be energy efficient and helps in saving the environment which nowadays is very much important .
