As far as decision making is concerned, it is true that in present time, most business entities are preferring group decision making than individual decision making. The decisions made collectively are more effective than decisions made by individuals. There are several reasons which states that why group decision making is more considerable decision making. Some of the reasons are stated below.

• Acceptable Decisions which have taken by the whole group are more acceptable by individuals. Because these decisions are taken considering the likings, dis likings, ideas or comfort of all the members of the group.
• Effective decision Group decision making provides an advantage of inclusion of various experiences and perspectives. This enhances the creativity and effectiveness of decision
• Reduces resistance Decisions taken after consulting all the members reduces the resistance to adapt any change by employees or members. However, they make themselves prepared for every change.
• Achievement of results A group can achieve targets beyond they could have done as individuals. Hence it becomes easy to implement decision as the group members are deeply engaged in the decision.
• Independent knowledge Group decision making overcome the problem of lack of independent knowledge, Independent decision etc.

For example, The management of ABC company is considering the change in the working technique and has two options for such technological improvement. In this situation, management forms a group consisting of heads of various departments. Hence, choice of one alternative has done after considering the ideas, problems and issues of all the individuals of group. This enhances the effectiveness of decision and all the departments now will accept the new technology easily.
