Consider the advances you have made in studying more productively over the past two years or so (e.g. from high school to 2nd-year university). Describe the specific methods you have used to improve your studying processes. Answer #1

My ways to improve the methods and idealogy of studies are as follows:

1. I CREATED A GAME PLAN:

Before i begin my study session, i created a game plan for exactly how i will study. i considered what i will study, how long i'll spend on each subject and what study methods i will use. If we don't create a game plan, we'll find ourself wandering from thing to thing without making much forward progress and we can end up spending too much time on one subject and not enough on another.Creating a plan of attack allows to focus during the study session and it allows us to study the right materials at the right time.

2. I MADE USE OF ALL THE RESOURCES AT MY UNIVERSITY:

  • The library.
  • The internet.
  • Audio lectures.
  • Any other resources at your disposal.

Studying using a wide number of resources and mediums allowed me to digest the material in a variety of ways.

3. I CAME IN WITH A POSITIVE MINDSET:

A negative attitude significantly reduces the effectiveness of my study. It turns the entire session into chore and makes me want to stop as quickly as possible. I tried to maintain a positive attitude both before and during your study session.

4. I STARTED TO WRITE OUT NOTES BY HAND DURING CLASS:

In other words, taking notes by hand forces me to think deeper and harder about what i am learning.

5. I USED TO STICK TO A RIGOROUS STUDY SCHEDULE:

I createD a rigorous study schedule, and also maintained a schedule for attending classes. This has set me up for success instead of late-night cramming sessions. My study schedule has to be consistent. It should contain small, consistent study periods that will yield higher results than infrequent large study sessions.

Imrpovement in technology has shifted to production possibility curve (PPC) outwards from P0 to P1. And if we consider a point A on the older PPC it has smaller number of hours and lesser grades as compared to point B on new PPC which has more of both. Technological improvements also alter the Production Function and increase the output in the form of both number of study hours and set of grades

  • The number of study hours increase because of improved technology like recording lectures in class in mobile or other gadgets which make it easier for students to make notes and thus the time of effective study can increase which will also increase grades
  • The student is interested and keen to study due to improved technology and new gadgets. Gadgets make students excited to use the gadgets and this increase their study hours, and if used effectively and efficiently this will increase the grades
  • If the students are absent in the lecture, they can attend a video lecture or can take recorded lectures from other students, this will increase the efficiency of absentees too and can increase their grades.

There are other reasons how technological improvements can increase both the number of study hours and Grades.
