Talking to a psychologist is different in many ways than talking to a friend or family member about your problems. Here are some of the ways in which it is different:

  • Psychologists are trained in this field for years and they are more qualified to counsel you than a friend or a family member. They are experienced and can assist in by applying a scietific reliable methodology that will be systematic.
  • Psychologist won't judge during the course of treatment and they are ethically obliged to keep your secret closed. The patient need not worry about her image or any secrecy issues. You don't have to worry about anything to share your emotions with him.
  • You can disagree or even get upset with him. During the treatment, there will be some time when you can get very upset, a psychologist can handle the situation better than any relative.
  • Psychologists are unbiased. They won't form an image and judge you before starting the course.
