1. Hinduism is the world's one of the most ancient religions. While Sikhism is a newly found religion found in the 15th Century by Guru Nanak.
2. Sikhism is monotheistic in nature while Hinduism is polytheistic in nature. Sikhs worship only one god, while Hinduism worships many gods altogether.
3. Sikhs don't believe in veds and purans but Hinduism is a full-fledged Vedic-religion.
4. In Sikhism cutting hair is prohibited, while in Hinduism a child's hair is cut during a ceremony called ' Mundan".
5. Hindus believe in idol worshiping while Sikhs are strictly against it.
