Answer #1

Baldness is not an example of sex linked genes but it is an example of sex influenced genes. It may occur in some cases due to disease or some other environmental factors or enzymes, it is a hereditary character which is more prevalent in male compare to woman. It is not inherited same as the recessive sexlinked genes and also could not be by dominant sexlinked genes because more women are not bald than men. A man is bald if he has only one gene for baldness, but a woman is bald if two genes are present. If ‘B’ presents a gene for baldness and ‘b’ for non-baldness, and the sex- influences is such that ‘B’ is dominant in man, and recessive in woman and it indicates that baldness is due to environmental factors or some diseases (syphilis, seborrhoea or thyroid diseases etc.)

the answer I gave was wrong 1 1 - - 1 Hair color is determined in Labrador retrievers by alleles at the Band E loci. A dominant allele B encodes black pigment, whereas a recessive allele b encodes brown pigment. Alleles at a second locus affect the deposition of the pigment in the shaft of the hair; dominant allele E allows dark pigment (black or brown) to be deposited, whereas recessive allele e prevents the deposition of dark pigment, causing...
