Hematite and geothite are different types of iron ores.
Hematite is essentially iron(III) oxide with a formula Fe2O3 and exhibiting a trigonal crystal structure.
Geothite has a formula FeOOH and exhibits a monoclinic crystal structure.
In geothite oxygen is linked to the hydroxyl ions in hexagonal layer like arrangement. This source of hydrogen is humidity/moisture. Thus, geothite will be present more in climates that are more cooler and humid. In contrast, hematite will be more prevalent in dry and warm climatic conditions.
Briefly describe the structural differences between hematite and goethite. Why does climate affect the relative amounts...
After studying this Module 8, answer the following questions in this Journal: Briefly explain why water is such an important agent in chemical weathering. How do soils that form in humid regions differ from soils that form in semi-arid regions in the environments in which they form and in their basic characteristics? Explain why and give two examples of how climate is more effective in determining soil type than is parent rock type. How does gravity affect a slope? What...
in what ways does temperature affect the definiton of a climate as humid or arid. Why?
Briefly describe the differences between circular dichroism (CD) and optical rotation ([a]D). Describe the differences in how the spectra are measured, what information is recorded, and how that information can be used in a lab scenario.
Briefly describe the differences between Intel Pentium and Intel Core processors
Please list and briefly describe some differences between bacterial and animal cells that have not been targeted with antibiotics. For each one you list indicate whether you think this could be a target and why.
does anyone understand 3,4 & 5. please 3. Briefly explain how nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) work to alleviate pain and inflammation (6 pts) 4. Enumerate and briefly explain the three modes of transport of substances across the cell membrane (12 pts) 5. a) What are essential fatty acids? (2 pts) b) Name any two essential fatty acids (2 pts) c) Using an example, explain structural differences between omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. (6 pts)
1a. The structural differences between human IgG molecules and camel antibodies. b. Describe in detail three advantages and one disadvantage of using recombinant scFv fragments instead of whole IgG molecules in therapeutic applications. Explain your choice with reference to the structures of the two molecules.
Name, and briefly discuss the evolutionary process that would lead to the differences in appearance between the two sexes, and discuss how those differences would affect survival and reproductive success of both males and females in this species
1)What are the differences and similarities between a series and parallel circuit? 2)Briefly describe the properties of the magnetic force? Thanks!!!
Very briefly describe the major differences between voltaic and electrolytic cells. You will not need all of the space given here to answer the question.
