Answer #1

Musciy system is one of the main systems of the body. Without muscular system we cannot move. The muscular system needs the help of the skeletal system for the movement as the skeletal muscle is attached to the skeletal system. The muscular system consists of skeletal, cardiac and smooth muscles.

The body is covered with different types of muscles. The skeletal muscles consists of striations and they have mitochondria for the energy. They are voluntary. The cardiac muscles are the muscles of the heart. They are branched and striated and they have abundant mitochondria. They are involuntary. The smooth muscles are involuntary and have no striations. They make up different organs.

The muscular system maintains homeostasis. The body temperature is maintained whenever necessary. The muscles have a major role in maintaining the body heat. They control the body heat by negative feedback mechanism. The muscles keep the body warm by converting the chemical energy to mechanical energy. When at the winter time when it is cold outside we shiver a lot. By Shiver the body is maintaining the body heat. At the time of Shivering rapid muscle contractions occur and heat is generated. At that time ATP is utilised. The muscles contract and relax to allow warm blood to flow through the body. At the time we exercise or run the homeostasis is maintained by the cardiac muscles by contracting more strongly. And then more blood and oxygen is carried to the cells.

Inflammatory myopathy is the commonly occurring disease to the muscle. The skeletal muscle is affected here. It's a kind of inflammatory response. As a part of the disease the muscles gets weakened and more pain is seen.
