Answer: One of the agency that work in the public health field is the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). It was established in 1989. It is one of the 12 agency who works in the public health field.

The major aim of AHRQ are:

• To improve the efficiency to citizens
• To provide safety and privacy to citizens
• To enhance the care provided to all the citizens.

The AHRQ indulge in the clinical research to uplift the decision making skills. It look after the research programs that can be implemented to bring positive change in the delivery of healthcare. This will directly reduce the medical errors and hence improve the treatment efficiency. It look after towards the reduction of the medical errors, side effects which can reduce the health disparities. The AHRQ focuses on the primary care which includes patients centered care. The high quality of care that could be provided to the patients and citizens as well as making the healthcare facilities more accessible for the citizens is one of the primary motive of the AHRQ. It also focus on producing the evidence that can elevate the quality of healthcare provided to the citizens. This could be achieved through various research activities as well as indulging in evidence based practice. This will increase the status of the patient cenetered care and enhance the critical thinking, decision making skills.
