Can you please give me some key take aways from this article?

TVASS compares student growth of a particular grade year no matter if they are proficient on the state assessment. A student who is below grade level can show progress with closing their achievement gap, likely help their teacher receive a positive score on their evaluation. The scores are calculated based on the student’s performance with their peers who took the same assessment the year before. A teacher will use a state assessment to determine if they want to use a particular state assessment such as MAP, TN Ready, or Fast Bridge to show the progress of their students. A teacher will compare the students from the previous year to calculate a percentage of students that need to show growth in order to get a positive results on their evaluation. I worked at a school that has 100% free reduce lunch and I must admit there is a challenge at times when I know some of my students are one or more grade levels behind. My goal is to make sure I not only teach the grade level standards but also try to close the academic gap as much as I can. I like how the TVASS makes teachers take responsibility of producing growth with their students, however I think when they decide to give out the testing is not favorable. Some of the state assessments have testing windows that always opens when the students are about to go on break or in the last month of the school year. Some students are not going to focus as much because the last thing they want to do is take a test before a holiday break.

Ans:

TVASS (Tennessee Value- Added Assessment System) measures how much students grow in an year. It gives more important to students progress than just merely looking into their scores of end year test.

The assessment can be also very particular in nature . For that specific tests are conducted such as MAP(Measures of Academic Progress), TN ready , Fast Bridge learning etc

State assessments are not favorable when the test are conducted before the the breaks or last month of school year as students may ignore it.

Hence these tests help teachers to cover up the gaps in the performance of students and give them a positive evaluation score.

Hope this answer helps :)

All the best!!

Can you please give me some key take away from this article? Colorblindness can be problematic because "color blindness may result in refusing to accept differences and therefore accepting the dominant culture as the norm" The only way I feel that colorblindness may benefit some students is because they are all seen as equal, but it can be a disadvantage for some because teachers struggle to see them for who they really are. "If used to mean nondiscriminatory in attitude...

Just as I believe professors can bring out the best in student, I believe they can they can bring the worst out of students. From...
