Answer #1

When we consider the need to have the employees better inclined with the incentives in place, management can:

1. Use Maslow's hierarchy of needs to determine the factors of motivation most relevant to their employees. It may be the case that an employee is not inclined to monetary gain as much as they are inclined towards performance actualization and reorganization. The management can, therefore, create better appraisal processes and determine the type of incentives to best suit the employees and implement them in order to make the best possible use of structure and function.

2. Communication, especially when made with respect to the needs of employees can help the management create a better understanding of the rewards as well as find the necessary factors of motivation for a particular employee. They can essentially integrate the rewards as part of the culture of the organization and as a result, allow better inclination to the rewards in place by the employees.
