What are your thoughts on feminism? Is it a movement for social good or are the stereotype and stigma of feminists as radical man-haters still lingering?
Feminism as a general terminology can be defined as activities promoting women rights & interests. But I believe feminism to be considered as social, political & economic equality of men, women & all the shades of gender in between. Toxin gender boundaries are imposed upon us from childhood in this society as men vs women culture. Feminism has become a movement nowadays but there are many rumours & misconceptions about it. Feminism is not fighting against men but a cry for help for everyone facing gender bias. There is no single nation where gender issues are not prevailing in one way or the other. Women in today's world still not getting an equal amount of wages in comparison to male counterparts in many countries. This movement is meant for highlighting & addressing such genuine issues, it is no denying fact that gender bias still prevails, often it is ignored. This movement is meant for social good but a few extremists gave the movement a bad name. We can be hopeful that in future people will cherish its true essence of what it really means.
