If the origin of life broadly conforms to the Oparin-Haldane model, then early in life's origin there was not a distinction between genotype and phenotype. Describe at least two features that distinguish genotype from phenotype. At what stage in the evolution of life would it have been possible to make this distinction? Explain your answer.
Question
According to the Oparin -Haldane model, life have originated gradually from the "in-organic molecules". At that time there was no difference between genotype and phenotype. The two feature that separate genotype from the phenotype are:
I. Genotype is the genetic constituent of the organism and phenotype describe the physical appearence of the organism.
II. Phenotype of the organism is dependent on genotype but vice-versa is not possible.
The distinction bwtween.genotype and phenotype would have been possible after the " great oxygenation event" that create the diverse life forms on the Earth. It increases the complexity of the organism and lead to the difference between genotype and phenotype of the scientist.

come up with a development scenario in the early stages of the software life cycle process. Provide a general description of the software application to be developed and some information about the organization and resources available for development. List at least two requirement gathering techniques you would employ for eliciting requirements for this system. For each of these techniques, provide the following: Justify why this technique is the most appropriate in this scenario Explain how you would prepare for employing...
Choose one of the following real-life cases involving an ethical dilemma: Betty Vinson from WorldCom Jeffrey Skilling at Enron Michael Vines at HealthSouth Part one: Clearly describe the main ethical dilemma facing the decision maker you have chosen. You may want to describe how or why the dilemma arose. Part two: Describe what the decision-maker ACTUALLY did, and the Kohlberg stage that the decision-maker was acting at and why it applies. Then delineate the positive and negative consequences that arose...
Part B Directions Read Ch. 1 section 1.2 (pp. 4-10) and Ch. 19 1.Think about the origin of cellular life forms beginning from 4.5 billion years ago and continuing up to the point that eukaryotic cells appeared. Consider: Why is RNA thought to be the 1st self-replicating biomolecule? • Describe the endosymbiotic hypothesis and explain how it accounts for the origin of mitochondria, hydrogenosomes and chloroplasts. List at least 2 pieces of evidence that support this hypothesis. 2. Explain in...
The Hominins Beginning in the late Miocene and into the early Pliocene, upright walking tendencies began to develop among the hominin tribe. Upright walking tendencies slowly transformed into obligate bipedalism during the pliocene within the hominin lineage. This shift in locomotor strategy is notably marked by the gradual change in arm to leg ratio that we see when comparing early and later hominins. Early hominins have short legs and very long arms while later hominins have longer legs and short...
Describe the general causes of Diabetes. Distinguish between Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes and tell what nutritional steps should be taken by someone who has either already developed the condition, or may develop diabetes due to a genetic predisposition. Explain, at the cellular level, the biology of cancer. What are some of the environmental causes of cancer and make at least three recommendations for reducing your cancer risk. Discuss the role of complementary and alternative medicine in maintaining good...
You don't have to draw it from your hand but if you do, please do it clearly so i can understand. Thanks! island in Lake Superior located off the northern shore of Michigan's Upper creates ice bridges connecting islands to the main land. In 1950, Isle Royale is Peninsula. Very rarely, freezing several wolves crossed an ice bridge from Canada to Isle Royale. They have been there since and studied by researchers. Several years into the study, researchers noticed the...
can someone please help me with this ? Practice Using a Punnett Square. Punnett Squares are tools to identify outcomes known genotypes. They can be used to help infer probabilities of genotypes and from a particular cross. of possible crosses between individuals of phenotypes amongst offspring lele forms "A" and "a". A woman is heterozygous, so she can produce eggs with Consider a gene with all 9. and Write them across the top of the Punnett Square below the following...
1.Define what a linear program/linear programing model is including its three key characteristics. Be sure to state those characteristics fully. 2.Some models are deterministic while others are stochastic. Discuss two key differences between deterministic models and stochastic models. Then further demonstrate your understanding of these two different kinds of models by providing an example of a stochastic model including at least two input variables and an example of a deterministic model including at least two input variables. 3.Every linear program/linear...
For your initial post, consider a time in your life when you had to look at something a little closer to make sense of it. This moment might focus on a document (like the grocery list example from the previous screen), a longer piece of writing, a piece of art, a billboard, and soon.] When you've come up with the moment, write two fully developed paragraphs (5-8 sentences in length) explaining it. In the first paragraph, use rich description and...
