Answer #1

1. Made up of three bases

The information present in the genetic code is read in the groups of three nitrogenous bases. One group is called as codon.

One codon codess for one amino acid. This is called as specificity of the genetic code.

But there are some amino acid which have more than one codons. This is called as degeneracy of the genetic code.

The genetic code is read in continuous manner without any punctuation marks.

2. RNA polymerase

Transcription is the process of formation of RNA using DNA as a template. It takes place in nucleus of eukaryotes and cytoplasm of prokaryotes.

It uses enzyme called as DNA dependent RNA polymerase. It is responsible for the polymerization of growing RNA molecule throughout the process.

Ligase is the enzyme which is responsible for the formation of phosphodiester bond between adjacent DNA molecules.

DNA polymerase is responsible for polymerization of DNA during DNA replication.

Helicase is responsible for unwinding of double stranded DNA into single stranded molecules during DNA replication.

In rho-dependent transcription termination: the formation of a hairpin in the transcribed mRNA causes RNA polymerase to pause, facilitating termination. rho binds the mRNA, and when it makes contact with RNA polymerase, it assists with the removal of the mRNA from the DNA template. the rho factor binds to the -10 consensus sequence located in the promoter region to terminate transcription. a site within the poly(A) tail is cleaved which signals termination. the 3' untranslated region (3" UTR) is synthesized....

Transcription is the process of rewriting DNA. DNA molecules are made from 4 different nucleotides which acts as building blocks. These building blocks are adenine, thymine, guanine and cytosine. When put together in different chemical combinations they become directions for the functions of the cell molecules which are primarily proteins. When a certain protein is needed, the RNA polymerase enzyme will find the gene for that particular protein and makes an RNA copy of it. DNA and RNA have similar...
