Yes, electrolytes are lost in high concentrations in the form of sweat during exercise or activity. The electrolytes that are lost are sodium and chloride. The electrolytes lost in low concentrations are potassium, magnesium, and calcium. Loss of electrolytes causes of muscle cramps.
