The following are some of the key skills required for new generation globalised managers:

1) strategic perspective:

These executives must have global strategic thinking and planning to have a broad and clear view of the future of the organisation.they must have overseas experience which will help them have deep knowledge about the industry and culture enabling them to identify and understand the market and economic trends .They must use their strategic thinking and knowledge to develop meaning and flexible goals and objectives for the organisation.

2) customer focus and understanding:

Customer satisfaction goal is one of the main goal of the organisation apart from profit goals.Global managers must be able to identify their customers needs, wants , concerns and problems to ensure good customer service and satisfaction thereby contributing to the smooth running of the organisation.they must be sensitive to cultural diversity and must take into account the cultural,political , religious and social factors as these differ among customers across the globe.Hence they must keep their customers across the globe satisfied to remain competent in the market.

3) ability to spot trends and act accordingly

Global managers must be able to identify and spot trends immediately before other competitors.he must take quick decisions based on the market information and changes in the trends to remain competent in the market.He must be able to identify those issues based on the information which others may pass by or ignore and take it to his advantage.Afterall the first in the market gets a upper hand above them all.

4) Dedicated engaged and committed teams:

Global managers must be able to build good teams.Organisation goals and objectives can only be accomplished when employees are motivated and enthusiastic to do their jobs Moreover they must be satisfied with their jobs .this can be ensured if the manager is a good leader,good motivator ,good negotiate and well spoken.He must also develop a team spirit among the employees to make full use of their skills and knowledge to help achieve the goals of the organisation.

5) willingness to take risks:

A global manager must be willing to take risks as without Risks the company cannot prosper or grow Moreover he must identify risks that will help the organisation to earn high returns but at the same time taking into account the implications it may have in others and the organisation.he must be willing to take risks and must be able to capitalise on unrealised potential to Keep growing.

6)Deep knowledge and expertise:

In this complex business environment,managers must have deep knowledge about the industry , new technology, and new theories.they must have great experience in this field so as to have a understanding of all the aspects of the business .they must also have a great sense of self awareness and must also keep learning so as to tackle new problems that arises in the business field .they must develop lifelong curiosity to all aspects of business.
