(a) Describe the tests carried out on a single-phase transformer to determine its equivalent circuit parameters and explain how each parameter is determined based on the test results.

(b) A 2200/220 V, 15 kVA, single phase transformer has the following equivalent circuit parameters:

The HV winding resistance and leakage reactance are 0.2Ω and 0.3Ω respectively. The LV winding resistance and leakage reactance are 0.012Ω and 0.03 Ω respectively. The magnetic circuit resistance and reactance referred to the HV side are I.2 kΩ and I.8 kΩ respectively.

Determine the efficiency and voltage regulation, when the transformer is supplying rated load at rated voltage and at 0.9 power factor lagging.
