It is given that dominant allele frequency is increased in an ambiguous manner at a locus. This suggests that in a population, the more number of individuals bear dominant allele frequency.

Now there will be more number of individuals will express dominant alleles. That's why there is found more individuals with dominant phenotype. The individuals which are homozygous dominant and heterozygous will express the phenotype.

But there is found less individuals with recessive allele. Because the allelic frequency of recessive allele is decrease. Let A is the dominant allele and a is the recessive allele.

Allelic frequency of A + a = 1.

That's why a = 1- A.

When A is increased, then a is decreased.

And the frequency of homozygous recessive individuals is (a) ^2.

That's why the homozygous recessive individuals bearing genotype will also fewes as compared to the previous population. Hence.

We will begin to see fewer individuals with the homozygous recessive genotypes and therefore the variety of colours will decrease.
