We are taking Baseball Tomorrow Fund by Major League Baseball and Amateur Athletic Foundation by Amateur Athletic Union (AAU).

The similarities between these grants:

  • Both these grants work with the objective of promoting youth sports
  • Both these grants raise funds through corporate sponsorship and association

The differences between these grants:

  • Baseball Tomorrow Fund is focused on the growth of baseball as a sport in US. Amateur Athletic Foundation has a generic approach and encourages all kinds of amateur sports.
  • Amateur Athletic Foundation is also focused on developing products or rendering services related to sports and physical fitness while Baseball Tomorrow Fund promotes products related to baseball sports but does not produce them.

Both these grants support the Sports and Sustainability Initiative and National Youth Sports Initiative, started by US Government. Both these initiatives focus on encouraging youth to take up one sport as hobby and fitness regime and thus increasing the overall popularity and following of such sports.
