Labor unions are closely related to trade associations. What are some challenges faced by labor unions today and how can public relations help labor unions in meeting these challenges?
The major problem faced by labor unions is the superiority of the management and the influence they have outside that dominates the demands and agitations of the unions. They are not able to get their demands as they often become threatened and have to back off due to the high influence used by the management. Many times they are sent to prison without any proper reason just for raising their voice. This can be solved if the unions have proper back up and this can be attained by maintaining cordial public relations and gaining support from the public which will help them to overcome the influence of the management and face them.
