Our cells use anaerobic respiration during extensive exercise. It then that ATP gets utilised at a higher rate than it is produced by utilisation of oxygen. The lung, heart s as d the circulatory system fail to match this rate to make oxygen available till the cells. As a result, oxygen levels drop developing anaerobic conditions. It is then that the body begins till develop lactate instead of pyruvate to obtain sufficient energy for the cells.
