How did the (EEOC) enact on the (ADEA) law.
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has enacted
firmly on Age Discrimination in Employment Act (1967) (ADEA) by
taking an aggressive stance. ADEA was passed around fifty years
before the EEOC was passed. However, ADEA failed to restrict age
discrimination from most of the government and nongovernment
organizations in the USA.
EEOC officially announced that the age discrimination is still very
much in use in most of the organizations. EEOC has opposed ADEA for
its inability to restrict the age discrimination from workplaces.
Moreover, the current judicial system in the USA has made age
discrimination cases more critical. ADEA failed to prohibit
age-based stereotypes, and victims are still waiting for justice.
The practice of discrimination is the core reason behind the age
discrimination that ADEA tried to resolve in 1967. However, it
failed to do so. Most of the workplaces still relate efficiency
with age instead of performance standards.
Thus, EEOC is not happy with the initiatives taken by ADEA.
