The roles that each of the phases has during the software development process are as follows:

1. Planning:
   • This is the first and foremost step which is being taken into consideration while working in creating software. In this phase, the role is to plan the software and its development.
   • In this particular step, the strength and weakness of the project and the team developing the projects are considered to plan the project accordingly.
2. Analysis:
   • The analysis step is for analyzing the performance of the software during the various stages of the development. It is the most important step in which the requirements and additional ideas towards the development phase are being analyzed.
3. Design:
   • In this step, the architecture of the project is being discussed. The user interface and experience of the project is completely required so that there are different things which one can consider.
   • The most important responsibility of this step is to remove all the possible flaws in the design and attempt to make flawless designs.
4. Implementation:
   • In this phase, the development steps are being discussed so that no errors are made during the implementation and the software developed in this phase is free of all kinds of vulnerabilities.
   • The stages of the implementation should work properly during the testing phase and must not generate any kind of errors.
5. Testing:
   • In this phase, the software is being tested on various levels so that the end product is completely error-free and made according to the requirements discussed with the client.
   • The main role of this stage is to make the developed software error-free and without any bug in it.
