Steps-1 State the Goal

The first step in goal setting is to state the goals. In this step all the details of the goal are mentioned and then the work to attain the goal is followed in the next steps.

Step-2 Deadline

Deadline is very important for the accomplishment of the goal at the right time. Deadline should be added to the goal to enhance clarity for further references.

Step-3 Identify barriers and obstacles

Obstacles and barriers that come in the way of attaining the goal should be identified and the ways to overcome it must be developed. This step is very important as if the obstacles is not solved than the goal cannot be attained.

Step-4 Identify benefits of the goal

The benefits of the goal must be identified as it give motivation to achieve the goal in less time. It helps in identifying the pros and cons of achieving the goal.

Step-5 Initiate a plan

The last step is to initiate a plan that must be followed for the accomplishment of the goal. In the plan the entire order of the work that has to be done must be written. It will help in achieving goal more efficiently. A plan must be made and executed t achieve your goal.
