The teachings of Hinduism can be applied in many business domains; its thoughts are applied in many areas of business refined as modern theories dealing with organizational environment.

Yajur veda, one of the books of Hinduism describes the roles and responsibilities of a leader and puts emphasis on good society and good governance. The book describes techniques of motivation as showering them monetary and non-monetary rewards on teachers and scholars and officers.

Another popular concept of Hinduism called Karma means that human earns rewards for whatever actions they have performed. In the modern day business environment, this concept is used in pay for performance.

Mahabharata, an important Hindu scripture describes concept of leadership and modern day concepts of leadership are based on them.

Arthashastra, another important Hindu scripture explains the concept of justice and ethics from which modern day theories of Organizational justice and ethics are derived.
