WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MEDIATED AND NON MEDIATED INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION IN SPORTS?

Mediated communication refers to those condition, where persons are not together, but the communication is going on,as such they are passing their thoughts through certain source,it can be in the form of internet, phone calling etc.But on the other hand when they don require any such source,as such they are in front of each other then such type is known as non-mediated communication.

Some of the difference between these two types in sports are as follows :-

  • Mediated communication in sports refers to those condition, where the communication between the player, and one other person, who might be either the one who is providing him guidance, regarding the game,or even could be his coach, etc.indulge themselves in having communication, where they pass their own views to each other, but with usage of certain source. In simple words, they are not sitting together, rather using some source to have conversation. On the contrary,in the non-mediated,any such source is not required,as the both the player as well as the other person, are in front of each other while passing their view to each other.
  • Mediated communication could be either with the use of verbal as well as non verbal pattern, but non-mediated is basically verbal. It is so because, while using medium in mediated, the person might be using the method of messaging, but on the other hand,in non mediated they openly communicate with each other using verbal language.
  • Example of Mediated communication include, internet, messages, and even call on phone. On the other hand, non mediated include two person, one of which is the player himself, and the other, can be anyone who is helping him somehow,as they conversing verbally, using the verbal language pattern to describe their concerns.
