Your hypothetical employer, X University, is pleased with feedback you offered on suggestions about potential types of databases and is also please with your suggestions on various Systems Development Life Cycle methodologies. This would be a relational database model for a payroll system that will be standalone but will need to have ability to communicate with other ODBC and SQL Server databases. The overall purpose of the database will be to input employee data for 100-150 employees. The database will need to input time and process data needed to document payroll and to create payroll (compensation) checks. At this point the company needs to develop and maintain this payroll database without compromising security.

Now that the potential type of databases has been considered, X University wants to now understand more on suggestions ____ may have designing/planning a model for the payroll database. X University has requested information and has asked you to address the following questions and would really like to see a sketched draft of the logical model:

* When thinking about various stages of modeling for this payroll database, why is it important to go through three phases of modeling including the conceptual, logical, and physical models. Please explain.

* Will the various stages of modeling help the designer, applications programmer, and user communicate more effectively and efficiently? Answer should be defensible.

* Not at this point being concerned with the physical model, what are some potential entities at this point to support the conceptual model? Answer should be defensible. Going even further, what are some attributes of these entities expanding into thoughts of the logical model? Explain and please include any other important conclusions or content fit to support this assignment.
