GPCRs is nothing but the G-Protein Coupled receptors.These GPCRs are the largest family of membrane receptors.

Also GPCRs are the largest family targeted by the approved drugs.And are increasing the overall drug market annually.

These GPCRs are actually new method and are still under study.

Since there is a natural genetic variation is present in the genome of humans,and this is the cause of difference between individuals.So many studies have been conducted and the result came out that there are many missense mutation happens in the genome and are the cause of many deadly disease.

So if only those region in the coding region are being target by using drugs for that particular area,then there will much better result and cure as compare to the conventional prescribed medicine.

But in order to do this process,the patient DNA has to be sequenced in order to know the area of polymorphism.Once the region is detected then only the directed medicine could work on the same.And this will easy for the follow -up as well.

As per this reason ,may be GPCRs are target by the approved drugs.Still the actual reason for this is under study.

But if GPCRs are being targeted ,that means there will be better quality of life the patients will be gifted.Better prescription optimization could happen by GPCRs target and will help to prioritize the drugs for the follow up cases.

Drugs that target GPCRs in the recent times are the small molecules or peptide.Studies and the results are combined to get the data,and it shows that in the near future GPCRs targeted drugs will increase and they will have many important role in the field of theraputics.
