Two components of the Human Resource Plan are planning for Training and planning for Recognition & Rewards. How do these two components of the Human Resource Plan relate to empowerment? Discuss specific and concrete methods a Project Manager can employ to empower their team. Relate any personal experience you may have with being empowered or empowering teams or team members.

Two components of the Human Resources Plan are planning for Training and planning for Recognition and Rewards. Planning for training involves the development of gathering pertinent information that is going to help the employees in their development and training that is going to lead to the growth of the organization. Proper training and planning to meet the company’s needs is something that can help with retention of the company employees as well as the planning for recognition and rewards. Employees that are rewarded will perform better and will more likely be loyal to the company.

Planning a training program to support human resources functions in an organization setting requires the functions in an organization setting and must be able to assess the needs of the business prior to making any decisions. The ability to evaluate the impact of the program will help to develop a training program that meets all requirements to assist the employees and be able to make decisions that will benefit the company as well. The goal of human resources professionals is to produce effective training programs that can provide employee support in the most cost-effective and consistent manner. The planning for training and panning for recognition and rewards lead to empowerment due to the opportunity to teach employees methodologies about the company and how to apply them in their departments, which provides ways for employees to expand on knowledge and gives them the opportunity to be able to lead individuals and serve their company as well as others.

The specific and concrete methods a Project Manager can employ to empower their team because the initial goal is to be able to establish an organization where many project managers could share their experiences, discuss issues, and be able to lead others. It is important to remember that projects consist of teams, people who work together and bring ideas that will benefit the success of the business. A project manager has the power to lead and mentor other members of the teams regarding the project they are working on. A project manager has the ability to give their team members the power to make decisions or create ideas to meet the goals of the company. A personal experience in which I was empowered in my company was during my special project that involves payments. My goal was to come up with a way to lower the risk of our portfolio. The goal was to catch bad payment accounts and block the account, so our company does not receive bad payment and increase the credit limit of the person. I felt that my leadership trusted me due to my previous experience in risk. I thought that I provided excellent ways and strategies to better monitor the payments and I also empowered my peers because I shared my knowledge on how to avoid bad payment and reduce losses.
