Piaget's theory helps in social cognition. Discovery learning helps in cognitive development. Children are interested in self discovery. The most appropriate project for developing cognitive is building block. It generates creative power in the children.

At the same time most of the children are possessive. If they are given an activity they think that it is their right and if anyone interfere there, they show anger. Piaget says that in such situation the children should be taught how to share with others. They should be given other's toys to make them understand that it is good to share with others.

Vygotsky focuses on the social interaction as the source of cognitive development. He stresses on the process of social learning and says that the elders must take active part in social learning of a child that helps in cognitive development. He says that a child is born with some instinctive traits and these traits help in development.

For the development of child various stimuli are used. In the classroom many types of sound are given to the children and they are asked to identify the sounds as they have already experienced such sounds with the help of their social interaction. Again they are also presented with many audio visual stimuli and they are asked to identify them.

With the help of environmental examples children are taught the social norms. They learn self-effacacy. They are also taught with some instrumental ways that help them to understand the social norms. It also revives their instinctive traits of morality and judgement. In the theory of Vygotsky the learning is not confined in the classroom. They also learn from their surroundings.
