Q1. A bullet (1 g) is shot into a pendulum mass while it is hanging straight down (0.8kg). Just before impact with the pendulum, the bullet has speed 600m/s. The bullet-pendulum combination then swings together in a circular arc to a maximum angle of 0.2 rad. 
 

Find the speed of the bullet-pendulum combination right after the bullet becomes embedded (you can assume that this happens quickly enough that the combination has not yet had a chance to rise).


What is the maximum height of the block bullet combination?


What is the frequency of the oscillation?


What is the angular position 2 s after the collision (write down the general equation for the angular position as a function of time)
