Darwin's Theory

Darwin's Theory is the Evolution of organism by Natural Selection. generation that can survive( selected by nature) can produce more individuals. Phenotypic variation exists among individuals and the variation is heritable. Those individuals with that suits better to the environment will survive.

Some of the Examples of Darwin's Natural Selection are :

1. Long neck giraffe

in a population, giraffes had both long necks and short neck. something caused low-lying shrubs to die out, the giraffes with short necks would not get enough food. After a few generations, all the giraffes would have long necks. Individuals possessing long neck well suited for the struggle for food and contribute to more offspring to the next generation, called natural selection.

2. Darwin Finches

Galapagos finches all have different types of beaks. During drought, the finches with the larger beaks survived better than those with smaller beaks.so inherited in future generation .

3. Resistance to pesticides

If an insect is resistant to the chemical, most of the offspring will also be resistant. Pesticide resistant will survive of the pesticide and others will die. Slowly, Generation of pesticide resistant insect will increase and population of insects become immune to a chemical within months. This selection is natural selection.
