Discuss the significance of the English Civil War and Glorious Revolution .

Introduction- English civil war was step by step conflicts between round heads and cavaliers also called parliamentarians and royalists. From 1642 AD to 1652 AD, a series of conflicts happened to change the method of governance in English kingdom due to corruption and political rebels.

The English war took place between supporters of monarchy and democracy or parliamentarians. The English civil war traditionally considered to have started in England in August 1942, when the king Charles first raised and army against the wishes of parliament. The period of conflicts actually began earlier in Scotland with the Bishop war.

Significance of the Civil War- This Great War against monarchy led the England to Parliament tradition and made this country a world’s oldest democratic country. The war also created a dilemma towards benefits of parliamentarian governance. After 17th century many countries has changed their ideologies and characterized its policies into new idea of governance.
