What does it mean that the Lord is within the hearts of all people (with your own heart)?

How does knowing that the Lord is within your heart you make you free and why can one “work in full freedom” knowing this?

The statement  is taken from Isha Upanishads. It shows the nature of an awakened person. God is there in every individual, every religion and religious scripts teaches it.

Yes it means God is within. One needs the spiritual awakening to understand and realize it. The inner beauty of the person is when he /she understand himself or herself

The knowledge about Lord within makes man free from all fears and be more humane, kind and loving himself and fellow being. He finds beauty in everything , more more kind   to all beings. Respect the beauty of life and living
