Psychology of Gender

For EACH discussion write your opinion on how you agree with discussion and why they made good point in there discussion. No more than 10 sentences for EACH discussion. For example, "i agree with your discussion because......"

A. The Bruce Reimer case impacts our understanding of gender identity greatly. According to Dr. Money nurture is more important than nature and can change someones perspective of their gender, this thought is clearly false. Brenda against all odds still identified as a boy. She played boy toys and enjoyed doing things that boys wanted to do no matter what anyone told her. No matter how hard everyone tried to keep her as a girl by hiding what actually happened and forcing her to do things that is typical of the female gender, Brenda always tried to do boy thing and never really wanted to talk about gender identity with Dr. Money. After the suicide threat and their parents told the twins what actually happened brenda realized that she was not crazy or insane. That was the first time in Brenda's life that she felt happy and wanted to be a boy. She called herself David. Dr. Money's theory was infact wrong in this case and gender is how you identify yourself not what you are told to be.

B. Bruce Reimers study was tragic. Unfortunately both boys ended up taking their own lives. They went through so much deception to try and change bruce into a girl however at the end the truth shall prevail. I believe this study shows that we can not change whom we are born to be within ourselves mentally and our exterior appearance does not define us.

Answer #1

A. I agree with your discussion because Dr. Money could have told the truth about her and for betterment of her he should have encouraged to live the life naturally. He got estrogen amid youthfulness to advance the improvement of breasts. All through his adolescence, Reimer was not educated about his male biology. Reimer started suffering from psychological trauma due to Dr Money's experiment which Money did to prove the reassignment surgery for children with intersex or damaged genitals since the childhood. He was ashamed of his failure so finally at the age of 38 he commited suicide.

B. I strongly agree to this arguement that we should not change whom we are born to be within ourselves mentally and our exterior appearance does not define us. That was the reason only behind the death of the both brothers. One was out of control with the overdose of drugs and other commited suicide only due to the big deception coming into their ways. If they were being encouraged and not being made just a subject of Dr. Money's experiment, they might have survived longer and probably could have done well so far in their lives.

Please read the article and answer about questions. You and the Law Business and law are inseparable. For B-Money, the two predictably merged when he was negotiat- ing a deal for his tracks. At other times, the merger is unpredictable, like when your business faces an unexpected auto accident, product recall, or government regulation change. In either type of situation, when business owners know the law, they can better protect themselves and sometimes even avoid the problems completely. This chapter...
