Whole processes are left to IS tools to decide the best alternative to aid the humans at the job. In some cases, even executing the decisions may be the responsibility of the tool.

For college processes, starting from application to acceptance to graduation, many IS tools can be of use. Some of them are listed below:

1. Chatbots: Chatbots can be used in multiple ways. Thus the need for human intervention can be saved. One of the classic use of Chatbots can be for providing direction/advice to candidates during the application phase. Also, it can help answer many queries the students can have.
2. Self-Service Portals: For many processes, Self-Service portals can be built which provide the candidates/students/alumni with a chance to resolve their queries without any human intervention
3. Virtual Classrooms: Needless to say, virtual classrooms can help students with learning on the go, without the need of the teachers to be physically available
