B) individuals with genes that allow them to sacrifice themselves for the species are the more evolved

C) Species evolve as a whole with all individuals within the population evolving at the same time

Answer #1

D is the right answer to the question because in evolution by natural selection is when a particular trait is favoured by the nature and they produce offsprings having the same traits and that traits is preserved by the nature as the individuals having them survive among the individuals having other variations of the same trait. Other options are incorrect because they are not connecting with the theory of natural selection.

Which of the following statements does not play a direct role in natural selection? Read all choices before answering the question. a) Artificial selection. b) Individuals within the population, who have the greatest reproductive fitness, are those who produce the greatest number of offspring, who survive to reproduce the subsequent F2 ("grandkids") generation. c) A species will produce more offspring than environmental resources can support. Consequently, not all individuals survive and there is a competition for limited resources. d) Competition...

Evolution by natural selection, initially described by Charles Darwin, is the theory that explains how a population’s inherited traits change over time and describe why organisms must adapt to their environments. Evolutionary theory can explain how specialized features develop in different species.

HELP ASAP!! Based on the video and what you know about natural selection, which of the following must be true if evolution is the explanation for what the Grants have observed over time on Daphne? Select all that apply. Beak depth and length must be heritable. Beak depth and length must affect survival and/or reproduction of birds. The beaks of individual birds can change depending on what food is available. Over time, individuals can evolve to better fit the environment...

Biology-Animal How do Stalin, Hitler, and others misinterpret the concepts of evolution? Be specific as to why did not fully understand what Darwin was saying. You are confronted by an anti-evolutionist who claims that evolutionary change can't be true because it relies on random mutations and randomness could never produce well adapted species. How would you answer this? An evolutionary advocate tells you that humans don't need to worry about polluting the environment because we'll just evolve and adapt to...

How Does Evolutionary Change Occur? "I soon perceived that selection was the keystone of man's success in making useful races of animals and plants. But how selection could be applied to organisms living in a state of nature remained for some time a mystery to me." - Charles Darwin Introduction Fundamentally, evolution is the idea that the form and behaviors of a species are not fixed - that they can change over time. Before Darwin was even born, some scientists...
