Answer #1

In Eukaryotes cell compartmentalization is usually seen to make possible many processes that must be separated from the remaining cellular environment to function properly.

1. Compartmentalization provides separate microenvironment so that they live and work in separate areas within the cell in order to perform their specific functions more efficiently.

2. Enzymatic or biochemical reactions that are taking place inside the cell organelles for various cellular activities have often different temperatures and pH levels, so in a restricted cellular environment, a more efficient activity can be done to maintain different temperatures and pH levels.

3. Compartmentalization affects the regulation of metabolic pathways very well making them more accurate and targeted and less interfering with each other.

4. Cells also protect themselves against the activity of lytic enzymes.

    4. Development of organelles Aa Aa 3 Modern eukaryotic cells are very complex and have many features that allow them to function efficiently. These complexities took a very, very long time to evolve and likely progressed as a series of small improvements that were naturally selected. For example, modern eukaryotic cells have internal membranes surrounding their organelles and the nucleus. This arrangement likely arose when the cellular membranes of some ancient bacterial cells accidentally folded to become internal membranes. Which...

A cell membrane consists of a lipid bilayer, which is a double layer of phospholipids. Each phospholipid has a hydrophilic phosphate head and a hydrophobic lipid tail. These phospholipids are not chemically bound to one another, but rather maintain their structure due to the fact that the lipid tails do not like water. They're hydrophobic^2. If they all buddy up, then they can all stay dry. (See figure.) One way to deal with this quantitatively is to realize that there...
