Why would one want to investigate major allele frequency changes between very closely related populations (as opposed to more distantly related populations) to detect the effects of adaptive evolution?

In case of natural selection, nature always selection better adaptive allele existing in that population. If two closely related population existing in a particular place , then by investigating allele frequency change we can predict which population is more evolved . In closely related population there is very little change of allele frequency which naturally selected.

In distantly related species allele frequency is changed drastically, there allele composition is so different due to different selection pressure.
