Suppose that you are charging a capacitor (C1=10) in series with a resistor (R1=2) using a power supply (V=10).

A. What is the maximum charge of the capacitor?

B. How long will it take the capacitor to reach 1/4 of maximum charge?

C. What is the characteristic time of this RC circuit?

D. Knowing that the voltages over the resistor and the capacitor must add up to V, calculate the POWER dissipated by the resistor at t=0.53 seconds.

E. Suppose that you fully charge the capacitor, unhook the power supply, and reconnect the wires so that the capacitor discharges through the resistor. How long will it take the capacitor to return to a charge of 1.00 microcoulomb?
