Answer #1

Psychiatric Rehabilitation is a process through which people under treatment of mental disorders are tried to be integrated in society. Such people are made enabled so that they can utilize their social rights.

They are enabled so that they can take responsibilities of themselves and their dependents. They are motivated to explore various opportunities for betterment of life. Full physical and psychological recovery remains the main objective of process of rehabilitation.

Various management skills are also taught to affected person. Rehabilitation enables a person for making better coordination. It helps in better body movement. Community functioning of affected person is being restored.

Emotional wellness of person is also being ensured. Some people consider process of rehabilitation as a better process than the punishment/incarceration. They say that rehabilitation provides a chance to live a better and balanced life.

Punishment destroys a life. An importance of independent living gets incorporated through the process of rehabilitation. Life management skills become more and more effective. Process of socialization also becomes easier due to rehabilitation.
