Often various team members are involved in delivering a project. Many a time, someone has to continue a work started by someone else. Hence, in order for the different pieces to remain inter-operable and for anybody to understand the granularities of a work, it is critical that standard practices are followed. Standard practices have been established based on global expertise in the area over years of experience. Hence, more often than not, adherence to standard practices is expected to ensures lesser susceptibility to errors and mistakes and an efficient/effective outcome.
