Briefly describe about ‘Expanding ring experiment’ and ‘Taylor cylinder test’ (testing method and objectives of the test)
Expanding ring experiment:
The objective of this experiment is to show the expansion of metals on heating.
Method: for this experiment we need one metallic ball and a ring such that the ball fits through the ring . The method is very simple. First check that the ball fits through the ring . Now heat the ring with the flame and try to fit it again through the ball .
Conclusion : second time it will not fit because the metallic ring expands on heating.
Taylor cylinder test:
The main objective of this expetiment is to find the effect of area of cross section on flow capacity . Here by using different cylinders having different cross sections we can conclude that large A/R gives lower gas velocity and higher flow capacity . while small A/R gives higher gas velocity and lower flow capacity.

Generate a hypothesis and briefly describe how you would conduct an experiment to address your hypothesis. Provide specific details such as the type of research, population, and key aspects that you would need to collect your data to test your hypothesis
Describe briefly Harlow's experiment of monkeys. It should include: 1. Methods that Harlow used 2. why did he conduct the experiement 3. what theory was he trying to test? 4. results of the experiement
Use the traditional method of hypothesis testing to test the given claim about the means of two populations. Assume that two dependent samples have been randomly selected from normally distributed populations. 8) The table below shows the weights of seven subjects before and after following a particular diet for two months Subject | A B C D EFG 190-TS-TRYー161 154 153 167 After 183 144 181 166 140 155 155 Using a 0.01 level of significance, test the claim that...
We are testing a statistical hypothesis about an experiment that can have 3 possible outcomes. Suppose that αi is the probability of not detecting outcome i, i = 1, 2, 3 when this outcome has in fact occurred. Find the conditional probability that the outcome is i = 1, 2, 3 if our test has not detected outcome 1.
Development: Think about, and then briefly describe, your career plans for the next three to five years. List any development activities you think will be helpful or necessary for you to achieve your 3 to 5 year objectives or plan. Explain why each element of your plan is there. Note any resources (time, money, or other) that will be required, and if possible, note whether those resources are or will be available. Feel free to use your imagination to come...
Answer the question4 but don’t talk about these two test which we used.1- sickle solubility testing and cellouse acetate 4. Name two tests not mentioned in this practical that can be performed on samples to confirm the identity of the haemoglobin variants and briefly state the principle of each test. (4 marks) 5.1) Explain what is meant by a qualitative globin chain defect. (2 marks)
Which of the following statements is false about the test data approach when testing a computerized accounting system? a. Controls may only be tested for one moment in time. b. An advantage of this method is that it directly tests controls. c. Several transactions of each type must be tested. d. Only those controls deemed important to the auditor need to be tested.
Difference of two Means. A national testing agency decided to do an experiment to see about the value of using a computer in a mathematics class. One group of students (Group A) used a computer in their class, while another group (Group B) did not. The main variable of interest was a test score, and we want to see if the mean test score for Group A is Larger than Group B. Use alpha = .05 for your test. The...
9. (0.5 pts) What is the Coombs test (describe in your own words!) 10. (1 pt.) The mother of two children is type 0+, and the father is type A+. The children are O- and A+. With this information, what can you say about the genotypes of the father and mother? 11. (1 pts) A lab technician is testing a patients ABO & Rh blood type and forgets to swap mixing sticks in between the mixing of the wells which...
Hypothesis Testing Method A = ADKAR Framework (column A) Method B = Prosci Change Management Methodology (column B) Null hypothesis is H0: Method A = Method B Research (Alternative) hypothesis is H1:Method A < Method B Sample size: 30 One-tailed test: Direction stated in the hypothesis is determine more effective (greater or less than). Level of Significance (a): .05 t-test is used because standard deviation of population is unknown, sample size is less than 30 Cutoff Sample Score (critical value)...
