Konstantin Von Economo (1876-1931):

In during world war I most outbreak disease called spanish flu epidemic. According to Konstantin Von Economo observed that serious viral infection brain is known as encephalitis lethargica. These disease characterized by come before death or lethargy and also without sleeping before dying.

Konstanin Von Economo autopsied many brains and find out two types of patients. The patients who had been comatose before dying, lesions formation takeplace at the posterior hypothalamus. Wakefullness of patients due to lesion at preoptic area of anterior hypothalamus.
