“All will agree that there are situations of human suffering that deserve attention, but most are far removed from even the most expansive definition of ‘national interests.’ What is more, proponents of interventionism rarely explain to the citizens of their countries why their sons and daughters are to be put in harm’s way, albeit for noble purposes.” Discuss.

Most of the countries are made-up of different groups of people who come from various backgrounds such as, ace, culture, religion, language etc. This would mean there would be one dominant group from anyone category and they would determine what would happen to rest of them. Thus, politics would be made up of the power elites who would also be wealthy and business people who would only advance the cause of their people and at times their own interest. This would mean that they would engage in exploitation of resources for their benefit. While the cause indirect and at times, direct damage to those vulnerable minority populations, they would also project themselves as their guardians by donating some money now and then. So, it’s true that those in power would only support the powerful and wealthy people and make the minorities and poor people struggle.
