Question

Great oxidative event hypothesize the formation of multicellular eukaryotic organism when the prokaryotes unicellular cyanobacteria start producing oxygen. This oxygen in the atmosphere help in the evolution of complex multicellular organism like plants , animals. Therefore, cyanobacteria evolution lead to the development of complex multicellular organism.

According to the endosymbiosis theory, prokaryotes cell lead to the evolution of eukaryotic organelle which is chloroplast and mitochondria. This is because prokaryotic cell, chlroplast and mitochondria have same type of DNA. This statement lead to the formation of endosymbiosis theory that eukaryotic organelle have originated from prokaryotic cell.

Serial Endosymbiotic Theory (SET) was proposed by Dr. Lynn Margulis (then Lynn Sagan) in the 1960s by drawing on experimental evidence from multiple disciplines. Which of the following statements is consistent with SET? Explain. a. SET suggests that the ancestral prokaryote was chimeric in nature due to the horizontal fusions of distinct prokaryotic species; this hypothesis complicates the theory of linear descent as outlined by Darwin. b. The unicellular protist parasite Giardia lamblia, that causes diarrheal disease in humans and...

Endosymbiosis is an evolutionary theory that explains the origin of eukarvotes and suggests a specific order in which this might have occurred. Ancestral cells enguited and then began to use the metabolic processes of the smaller cells. Based on shared core processes and features, which statement most accurately describes the order, the theorY and the evolutionary implications for all organisms within domain Eukarya? OAll ancestral eukaryotes would have most likely consumed a nucleus-ike prokaryote that eventually became the eukaryotic nucleus....
