A literature review is a summery of the existing knowledge or findings of a particular topic or area of study. It critically analyse the information or findings gathered by pointing out the limitations, point of views ans also the areas of future research. It basically presents the literature in a organised way.

The components of literature review are :

a. The objective of the literature review.

b. Overview of the subject under consideration. Explanation of the importance of the topic or area under study.

c. Overview of the kind of research that has been done. Whether it is a quantitative or qualitative research.

d. Division of the research work into categories and indentification of the importance of each catagory in your thesis.

e. The conclusion which identifies whether the findings support your research or contradicts your research.
