In which of the four types of organizational cultures- family, Eiffel Tower, guided missile, or incubator- would most people in the United States feel comfortable? In which would most Japanese feel comfortable? Based on your answers, what conclusions could you draw regarding the importance of understanding organizational culture for international management?

As we know that organization culture is a system of shared assumptions, values, and beliefs, which governs how people behave in organizations.

In this context, US people or manager would be comfortable in Guided missile because US people are low on power index and high on Masculanity which means that US people are more project oriented.US people more focus on individual expertise and equality that is why they are motivated by intrinsic reinforcements like Equality, fairness, status, recognition instead of money and benefits.US people under this culture are problem centred, professional and practical.

As for Japanese They would feel comfortable in Family oriented culture because Japanese people have high power index in which people does not opposed people in power so a head of family has clear role and power who leads all people below them like a parent.Japanese people respect those in charge. These people give status ascibed to parent figures who are close and all powerful.

My conclusion is that Business and its people operating in different countries must understand their culture in order to do business successfully in foreign countries because every country have different culture which can affect business operations and management. so understanding of organization culture is very important in International business management.
