What is your personal stance on active or passive euthanasia? In particular, what is your opinion on doctor-assisted suicide? If you were terminally ill would you consider active or passive euthanasia as an option? Please explain your thought process.

Based upon a personal opinion , I believe that active euthanasia has more of a controversial nature than passive euthanasia. This is because in the former , an act is fine to induce death while in the case of the latter ,an act is omitted. Passive euthanasia is more common as it would involve withdrawal of a life support or a medicine which the patient cannot do without,which shows the inability to continue further without assistance externally. This has convinced many Individuals that it is more ethical. Doctor assisted suicide is a favorable initiative in many if the medical conditions and can ensure a peaceful death for the patient despite the controversy assosciated with it. I would consider passive euthanasia if I was terminally ill, as it would mean that an external treatment or intervention is omitted rather than performing an act that would act against the body.
